Hajah Fuziah requires no introduction in the field of library science. She has spent more than 30 years teaching, developing, and grooming librarians and information managers as part of her role as a lecturer in the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She was also the Head of School (Dean) of the School of Library Science, Institute Teknologi MARA from 1991 – 1994. Her last position was Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer in UiTM.
Not only does Puan Fuziah lecture students, she was also a Mentor Lecturer – providing guidance and advice to young lecturers under the Young Lecturer Scheme Scholars. Her other roles include:

Hjh Fuziah has also won innovations awards as part of the team for the following projects:
- Bronze Medal (2011): “MyLIS-dex”, an indexing project of library websites in Malaysia, is aimed to index and compile information on the websites of Malaysian libraries to support the efforts of searching for information and information retrieval. (Innovation Carnival, Faculty of Information Management, UiTM Puncak Perdana.)
- Bronze Medal (2011): “Multi-purpose Laptop Table”, project to design and build a design
of a multi-purpose laptop table, which can be placed in the computer labs or seminar halls in
universities or schools. (Innovation Carnival, Faculty of Information Management, UiTM Puncak Perdana.) - Bronze Medal (2010): LiBaC”, a computerised library system project which was designed using the Winisis software, developed in cooperation with lecturers from the FIM Department of UiTM Merbok, Kedah.
